Robert Heritage for Archie Shine Armchairs in Mahogany and Corduroy

Sale price$850.00

Robert Heritage for Archie Shine, armchairs, mahogany, red corduroy, United Kingdom, 1960s.

This design is sensuous, sculptural and elegant. The design features a high, sculpted back. The curved, tapered legs give the unit a sturdy and sophisticated look. The main feature of the chair is the way how the seat is separated from the frame itself, a design invention that was first introduced by Finn Juhl. The chair is upholstered in a soft material called corduroy that is known for its ribbing and velvety structure. The designer, Robert Heritage, is known for carrying out furniture design for the Queen Elizabeth II ocean liner in 1968.

Please note that this set is in good, used condition. The mahogany type of this piece does not require an export license.
