Poul Henningsen and Kurt Nørregaard Grand 'LP Centrum' Pendant

Sale price$6,400.00

Poul Henningsen and Kurt Nørregaard for Louis Poulsen, pendant 'LP Centrum', aluminum, Denmark, 1990

This illuminating fixture was meticulously crafted using the mathematical 'Lituus Curve' as its design foundation. Ten circle-shaped shades, placed on vertical ribs, make sure the light is equally divided. The spectator has no direct view on the light source itself, and the lamp does not cast shadow. That fact makes this lamp very suitable for the eyes while reading or dining. The design originates from Poul Henningsen. Kurt Nørregaard developed it into this giant pendant. Overall, this design is beautiful and clever in its form, but also very elegant and a lovely piece to add to a dining space or hall way.
