Gigi Sabadin Sideboard with Grid Framework in Walnut

Sale price$7,450.00

Gigi Sabadin, sideboard, walnut, wood, glass, Italy, 1970s

An exceptional cabinet designed by Gigi Sabadin showcases a perfect fusion of architectural elegance and natural approach. The design is characterized by a graphical structure, with a grid-like pattern forming the two independently opening outer panels. This specific pattern gained popularity among artists in the seventies, such as Gianfranco Frattini and Gae Aulenti, and, not to forget, the Italian esteemed cabinet maker Pierluigi Ghianda that was known for making pieces of furniture based on this layout. The middle section features a glass panel. The interior is equipped with shelves that can be adjusted in height. The contrast between the darker hues of walnut wood and the lighter shades of blond wood creates a sharply defined geometric pattern, resulting in a visually compelling and crisp geometric design.
