Dutch Art Deco Dressing Table in Macassar Ebony and Mahogany

Sale price$3,300.00

Attributed to Jan Brunott, dressing table, macassar ebony, mahogany, glass, The Netherlands, circa 1925

A large mirror combined with functional storage space and beautiful forms make this dressing table a remarkable design. Designed circa 1925 and attributed to Dutch designer Jan Brunott, the item did not lose any of its attractiveness. A large mirror is integrated into a mahogany wall that features an open shelf cabinet and storage trays in black colored wood. With geometric wooden inlays and a macassar ebony handle, the door of the cabinet is decorated. Also note the two wooden pieces, also made of exclusive macassar ebony, that seem to hold the mirror. The warm tone of the mahogany wood forms a lovely connection with the black surfaces and the mirror.
