Carl Gustaf Hiort af Ornäs for Huonekalu Mikko Nupponen, 'Välipala' bookcase, teak, wood, Finland, 1950s

This sizeable and modern wall unit is designed by the Finnish designer Carl Gustaf Hiort. It is build from wooden elements in different colors, resulting in a clear, architectural piece that is flexible in use. The base consists out of three black tripod legs. On top of that is a teak shelf situated, and upwards followed by a white shelving system that is completely adjustable and can therefore be arranged in such a manner that the user will suit best. The open construction allows the user to showcase the items beautifully in this light shelf design.

Please note that this piece is in used condition and could needs superficial touch ups. Restoration can be done before shipping by our experienced craftsmen and -women in our own in-house restoration atelier. With high attention for the original, they make sure every piece contains its value and is ready for the many years to come.
